Who we are
 

Established in 2014, Ambedkar college of Arts and science is a premier educational institute located in Wandoor, Kerala. It is aided by Govt. of Kerala and affiliated to University of Calicut. It offers four UG courses and one PG course. The Institute enjoys a good reputation for courses like MA (Development Economics) BA (English & Economics) BSc (Mathematics) and B com (co-operation). Over the years Ambedkar college of Arts and science has gained expertise through its experienced language faculties, Malayalam and Arabic. The college provides facilities all around the campus including Library, Computer Lab, Cafeteria and large Playground.

Our Management
 

The college is run by the INDIRAJI MEMORIAL SOCIETY, a Society formed with the aim of uplifting lots of depressed classes in general and Scheduled Caste population in particular. The college is unique in the sense that it is the first such institution ever in Wandoor. We follow the words of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, "Cultivation of mind must be the ultimate aim of human existence".

To provide equal opportunities for quality education, while equipping students with knowledge and skills in their chosen stream, identify hidden talents, provide opportunities for students to realize their full potential and thus shape them into future leaders, entrepreneurs and above all good human beings.

Vision
 

To kindle the spirit of learning among the youth, to uplift the lives of downtrodden, minority communities, and make them lead a sustainable life to consistently preserve the tradition of high integrity while meeting the challenges of globalised world.

Objectives
 
  • To provide opportunities to premising students especially from Scheduled Caste and other depressed communities who have been denied progress and prestige by social system for many years.

  • To develop the overall personality of students along with their educational, physical, mental and intellectual development.

  • To inculcate the spirit of service, sense of sacrifice and social commitment among students.

  • To enable the students to accept the changes in every walk of life and face the challenges that come along with it.
