Department of Mathematics was established in the year 2014.At present the department offers undergraduate programme in Mathematics. Thethree year BSc Mathematics programme offers Statistics and Computer Science as the complimentary courses for the first four semesters. From 2014 onwards the undergraduate programme followed the choice based credit semester system.

The sanctioned strength for the programme is 36 and an intake in accordance with a marginal increase of certain percentage, which differ from year to year, was also implemented.

The department offers induction programme and bridge courses for the beginners. It also offers an open course in Mathematics and different certificate courses in Mathematics, Computer science and Statistics. The Department also offers skill development courses in Latex and Office Automation. Mathematics department organizes seminars, workshops, exhibition and career development programmes for undergraduate students. Mathematics Club is functioning in the department to promote and maintain students’ interest in Mathematics.
