The Social Science Club and the PG Department of Economics of Ambedkar College of Arts and Science, Wandoor jointly organised a signature campaign titled "The Population They Didn't Choose" on 10 July 2026 at the college library entrance in observance of World Population Day. The programme aimed to raise awareness about population-related issues and encourage students and staff to reflect on the challenges faced by people who have little control over the circumstances of their birth and living conditions.

The campaign was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Shamsudeen E., Principal, and P. Bhaskaran, Manager of ACAS, attended as the chief guest. A large number of students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff actively participated by signing the campaign, expressing their commitment to promoting awareness, equality, and responsible action towards global population concerns. The programme was coordinated by Fathimath Suhra C., with the support of student coordinators Shamil P. and Adithya T..
