The Women Development Cell of the college organized an awareness class on the social issues of Dowry System and Child Marriage. The session was presided over by Adv. Chithra. During the class, she emphasized the legal perspectives regarding the dowry system, highlighting the strict laws that prohibit it. She discussed the various forms of punishment for those involved in dowry-related offenses and explained how dowry-related cases can be legally pursued. Additionally, she touched upon the POCSO Act, stressing its importance in safeguarding children from exploitation.

To reinforce the message, the students took a solemn pledge, led by the community counselor, Athira, to actively oppose the dowry system and work towards its eradication. .
